What a strange, and at times troubling, year 2016 has been. The UK voted to exit the EU, the US voted to elect Donald Trump, President… up is down, and down is up. You’d be forgiven for thinking this was the end of the world as we know it… and in a sense, it is… but only for now.

The end of one chapter though, inevitably marks the commencement of another. A new chapter wrapped in potential and opportunities aplenty. Ultimately, despite the odd hiccup here and there, I take comfort in the reassurance that we are in a robust industry, within a robust economy and I’m excited for what lies ahead. Check out our 5 industry trends to watch in 2017.

As the year comes to a close, it’s a great time for us to reflect on various aspects of our lives, including family, health, finance, and of course, our work. What’s also important though, is to take some time during this period to reflect on what it is we want from each of these areas of our life, and then identify the gaps we need to close in order to get there. Try these 2 simple exercises to help you identify where you want your business to be, and set the goals to get there.

Remember, when it comes to meeting your business goals for next year and beyond, be they to grow organically or through acquisition, to divest, sell up, plan for exit or even just to identify potential future risks and set strategies to mitigate them, we’re here to help with a range of advisory services.

For Jadeja Partners, the end of 2016 not only marks the end of another year, but of 25 years of service to the accounting industry in Australia. And a milestone such as this has given us extra reason to take a good look at where we are today, a quarter century on, and where we can continue to in meeting our core objective of Connecting Accountants.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all in 2017, with a fresh and focused approach, improved services and regular tips to help you succeed with your own business goals. Until then, we wish you a safe, happy, healthy and prosperous festive season.
